Levi Strauss Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Levi Strauss & Co. is an American clothing company known worldwide for its Levi's brand of denim jeans. It was founded in May 1853 when German immigrant Levi Strauss moved from Buttenheim, Bavaria, to San Francisco, California to open a west coast branch of his brothers' New York dry goods business. The company's corporate headquarters is located in Levi's Plaza in San Francisco.

Levi Strauss & Co. has denied claims that they have sexist pricing policies after being singled out by The Times in the U.K., which claimed women’s Levi’s 501 jeans were 46 percent more expensive than men’s.

Advance Denim Taps Paolo Gnutti for a Creative Capsule Collection Seaside Style and Jacquemus Top Online Searches: Lyst A company spokesperson said, “You may look at two pairs of jeans and they seem very similar, but it could be that one has more stretch in it, or a more innovative fabric makeup, or the finishing could be more premium, or we’ve put one on sale based on seasonality or consumer demand, all of which get factored into pricing. We look at the market and the competitive set, but do not set prices according to gender.”

Levi’s said that since the comparison was done on certain online styles on a single day and included both sale and full-priced goods it wasn’t a fair comparison.

The Times article that analyzed Levi’s pricing policy found that overall U.K. high street stores are charging women up to twice as much as men for nearly identical products in clothing and beauty categories. On average, the products marketed to women were 37 percent more expensive.

Gender-based pricing have been a hot topic in the United States as well. In the beginning of January, the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) found that women’s product cost 7 percent more on average than similarly marketed men’s products, including jeans, dress pants, sweaters and socks.

Paul Gargiulo says

"Lets be honest. The quality is horrible.I have returned several pairs back to the store within 2 or 3 wears. It ranges from the belt loops breaking the first time you wear them to the back seat tears by the rear pockets. I have worn Levis since the 70`s. The last few years they went south. I buy only LL Beans or Lucky Brand. I will never buy Levis again. They cost more than the no name brands and they are simply crap.Look at the price. They are down to $29 bucks from a high of $50 in my days. That speaks volumes."

Spencer says

"Going to stop buying this brand. Poor quality for a lot of money. Selling on their trademark. People are not stupid !"

Randy says

"Levi Strauss is going after the NRA and anybody that believes in the second amendment. I am boycotting them and have told everybody I know to do the same."
